Melanie Shaw, MBA, CPA Candidate
A Texas-native, Melanie Shaw is a CPA Candidate with a passion for tax and helping her clients. With 5 years of tax experience, Melanie boasts a strong affinity for helping clients achieve their financial goals and to educate them along the way.
She holds an MBA with a Concentration in Accounting from Louisiana State University- Shreveport, and a BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston State University. She is a licensed Notary Public and SHRM Certified.
Melanie is an objective, educated tax preparer with industry experience ranging from small businesses to real estate and equities. She stays up-to-date with the latest changes in tax laws and regulations.
Aside from tax preparation, she enjoys spending time with her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Molly Mae and Effie Sue. She also loves trying out new cruises or local breweries in the area and thrifting her way through her weekend.
Trevor Whelan, Administrative Assistant
Trevor is an undergraduate at Columbia College pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Finance and Economics. He has a passion for the business world, and has plans to work in private equity in the future. With specific experience in sales and real estate, he is a great addition to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing, camping, and golfing.
Molly Mae & Effie Sue, Emotional Support
Molly and Effie, "Hot Cakes" and "Jeff," respectively, keep tensions low during tax season. Their ability to handle high-stress situations is a true asset to the team. In their free time, they enjoy birdwatching and snacking in their garden.
